When and where did you begin this sport?He took up short track at age nine in The Hague, Netherlands.  
Reason for choosing this sportHis sister was doing figure skating when he was a child. He was bored around the ice rink so his mother decided to send him to skating lessons. He started with speed skating before being attracted to short track later on.
