Reason for choosing this sport | Having competed in roller speed skating in Colombia, he took up short track after visiting New Zealand in 2013. In 2015 he spent three months training with fellow Colombian short track skater Nicolas Laborde in Montreal, QC, Canada, before deciding to relocate there permanently.
