Injuries | In December 2020 he broke his fibula and dislocated his ankle as well as damaging ligaments, bone and cartilage in his left leg after crashing with Belgian national teammate Adriaan Dewagtere during a training session in Hasselt, Belgium. He underwent surgery and was expected to miss the rest of the 2020/21 season and the 2021 World Championships in Dordrecht, Netherlands.
