Reason for choosing this sport | "In childhood, my sister Hanna and I figure skated. I don't remember what exactly did not work out there but we were offered the chance to try another skating sport, short track. Our parents supported the change. At first we didn't even understand what short track was. But then we grew up, and now we can no longer imagine our life without this passion. Figure skating laid the foundation for coordination, stretching, and exercise habits for us. This is important in any discipline. And, of course, it was not so scary to stand on skates. A month after the change of discipline, we were competing in short track. Just because we knew how to skate." |

Other information | FAMILY AFFAIR She says that she and her sister Hanna benefit from having each other as international teammates. "My sister, who is a year younger than me, and I have no rivalry. We are all about fair sport. If at some point one of us is stronger, let it be, it's a good thing. Going out on the ice, you simply turn off, and the whole world ceases to exist for you. Besides, it's not only my sister there, but all my teammates. We perceive any rivalry we have on the ice as healthy competition." (belfastmedia.by, 03 Aug 2021) |
