Training RegimeHe skates between 09:00 and 11:00 in the morning, which is followed by some off-ice training. He does a second session in the afternoon, which can be strength work or training on the ice again.

Reason for choosing this sportHe became interested in the sport after watching the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin on television. "I saw speed skaters racing and battling each other at incredible speeds. I thought it was the coolest sport I had ever seen, so I decided to start inline speed skating first. I eventually transitioned to ice as there is no Olympics for inline speed skating."
