When and where did you begin this sport?She began skating when she was in grade five in primary school in Daegu, Republic of Korea. She switched from short track to speed skating in 2010.  
Reason for choosing this sportShe was initially influenced to try the sport by her friends. She decided to become a speed skater after watching the performances of Korean athlete Lee Seung-Hoon. Lee had switched from short track to speed skating and went on to win medals at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
