Sport Specific Information
Sport Specific Information
Training RegimeShe spends the majority of her training time in Inzell, Germany.
Reason for choosing this sportShe was involved in volleyball, football, athletics and skiing before she took up skating. "I wasn't impressed after my first try, there was no great enthusiasm, because it was very different. Then there was a running track at school and one of the kids started making ice so we could just skate. The goal was to be the fastest. We'd hang out after school but we would be wearing hockey or figure skates. No one had speed skates. Then this guy showed up in speed skates and he was so much faster than us. We tried speed skates, got a training group together but we didn't know anything about technique or coaching."
When and where did you begin this sport? She took up speed skating at age 12 in Adavere, Estonia. In 2011 she began taking the sport seriously and started training full-time in Inzell, Germany.
