Other informationCLUB SWITCH
In 2021 she moved from Team FrySk to Team Jumbo-Visma, a Dutch commercial club team. During the 2020/21 season she had to seek sponsors and donations because of the lack of funding available from Team FrySk. "It means I can focus entirely on sports, training and skating. I no longer have to worry about other issues. I had been with Team FrySk for four years, and it really felt like a family to me. The bond with Siep [Hoekstra, Team FrySk coach] was also very special. So it's hard to say goodbye. It's very exciting to see what another training programme does. I'm not afraid of it, otherwise I would not have made the move." (omropfryslan.nl, 07 Apr 2021, 27 Feb 2021)

FURTHER EDUCATION
She has a bachelor's degree in education with a focus on physical education from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen in the Netherlands. (LinkedIn profile, 01 Jan 2018)

Alongside her skating she has occasionally worked as a substitute teacher in primary schools. (Instagram profile, 10 Jan 2021; skatenl.nl, 03 Nov 2020)
