Other information | OLYMPIC DREAM Having already represented Germany in roller speed skating, she decided to begin speed skating on ice in 2016 with the goal of competing at the Olympic Winter Games. She said the experience of competing in roller speed skating at the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland, only strengthened her desire to compete at the Olympic Winter Games. "The World Games are still not the Olympics. There isn't a lot of money in it, but it makes you want to experience the big things. If you're an athlete, you see the Olympics, you see this whole event. And that's just a little bit more than what you can experience while inline skating at the moment. I don't want to blame myself for not trying. I get goosebumps and I want to experience it." (speedskatingresults.com, 07 Oct 2023; mdr.de, 09 Aug 2023) |
