Her grandfather Mario also competed in speed skating at national level in Italy during the 1950s and 1960s. Her younger brother Pietro has represented Italy in short track, winning a silver medal in the mixed 2000m relay and a bronze medal in the men's 5000m relay at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
