Born in the Republic of Korea, he moved to Australia with his family in 2009 and gained Australian citizenship four years later. "Since I moved to Australia, I felt like I was Australian. I may look Korean and I have Korean blood, but living here changed my mind. I feel like Australia is a better place to live." His parents relocated when he was age 12, in order to give their children a more relaxed lifestyle. "In Korea, it's always stressful. There's always pressure."
